At the moment, services take place at 9.30am every Sunday with Family Service held on the first Sunday of each month. We embrace any format of service and welcome any new ideas that may help to spread the word of God
There are many occasions when our church is used to celebrate festivals throughout the year
This Easter every window in church was decorated by a different family so there were Easter chickens and Easter eggs in abundance. At the back of church there was an Easter garden full of detail and depicting the true Easter story and Easter Egg hunt in the churchyard afterwards
This festival always takes place on the last Sunday in September. It is attended by children from the school who bring harvest baskets and flowers to the front of church to be blessed during the service. As at Easter each window in the church is decorated by a different family. The following day some of the produce is delivered to people in the parish and the rest is auctioned at the harvest supper that evening with proceeds being donated to church funds and the rose queen’s charity
For this service we are joined by members of the British Legion, Sandbach branch. The retiring collection is always donated to the British Legion and a member of the local community plays the reveille. Refreshments are then available after the service
There are many activities in church during the Christmas period. The school children perform different nativity plays in church, and there is a Christingle service attended by children, parents and other members of the community. During this service the retiring collection is donated to the Church of England Children’s Society. On Christmas Eve we hold a candle lit communion service and this is always well attended. Our intention this year is to serve mulled wine and mince pies at the end.
